The Gerner Family
The Gerner family have been involved with Outward Bound Australia since the late 1980s when Outward Bound ran their first program in Walpole, WA in 1988. The Gerner family are an integral part of Outward Bound’s existence and growth in WA, as their property also hosts base camp, campsites and activities. The Gerner family have all taken parts in Outward Bound’s program, both as participants and as logistics support staff. They make Outward Bound’s operation in WA the special place that it is, dear to both staff members and clients alike.

The Heyhoe family are long term supporters of Outward Bound’s operation in Victoria. On the Snowy River and out of Buchan is their family farm from which Outward Bound run programs. They have volunteered with us on logistics, ran service session with participants and strive to protect our natural environment. The Heyhoe family set up a Trust For Nature on a large part of their property.
