Outward Bound is “magical”.

A testimonial from a very happy parent after their recent Family Adventure.

My daughter Sarah and I completed our Family Adventure course last week and the word I’ve used to describe it to friends and colleagues was ‘magical’.
Tough, challenging, painful (our calves were hurting for days) – but it was everything I could have hoped for out of the experience for myself and my daughter.

Aidan and Selina (as well as a team of helpers including Forrest and Wren and many others) were just naturally comfortable in the role. They bonded well with adults and teenagers (most of whom were begrudgingly there), they encouraged, they listened, they educated, and they made space when needed. The program is a solid foundation, but they made the experience what it was.

I’m sure this is no surprise to you, but it shouldn’t go unsaid.

I don’t expect my daughter to ever go for a hike again (although, fingers crossed) – but she has the certificate on her bedside table, the t-shirt she’s wearing around the house, and the experience of accomplishment that can never be taken away from her.

Thank you – this is my third Outward Bound (school, classic challenge, and now family adventure) and I am an advocate for everything your organisation delivers.
