Due to the high demand received for this program, enrolment into Outward Bound Expedition is application-based. Applicants are required to submit a 1–2-minute video that answers the question: “Why do you want to attend your selected Outward Bound Expedition program?”.
Outward Bound Expedition is a 10-day journey for young adults 15 – 24 years and takes outdoor adventure education to the remote regions of Australia. Participants undertake an extended journey complimented with classic outdoor adventure activities, providing a risk and reward platform for personal development in leadership, initiative and group collaboration.
Outward Bound Expedition is an extension on our journey-based Partnership Programs (commissioned school camps and similar) and the Outward Bound Junior and Outward Bound Leadership 5-day programs, however it is not a requirement for you to have attended these previously. Outward Bound Expedition also qualifies for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award: Gold Residential Project.

Outward Bound Expedition is a 10-day program that requires intended commitment by all the participants. We are looking for people who genuinely want to join us for their own personal gain, coupled with a desire to work cooperatively in a team setting.
You are asked to answer the question: “Why do you want to attend your selected Outward Bound Expedition program?”. Your response must be:
- Delivered in a video format.
- 1-2 minutes duration.
- Presented by the applicant.
- Audible / understandable.
- Make sure you are in a location with minimum background noise.
- We are not looking for professional quality movies, nor are we seeking to be entertained.
- Be sincere and be yourself.
