From: All over. Growing up dad was in the Navy then I went off to join the Army. I’m currently residing in Canberra.

What does your role involve?

I’m responsible.

Tell us a bit about your background prior to joining Outward Bound

I spent 13 Years as an Army Officer (retiring as a Major) followed by 3 years as a consultant in Leadership & Change Management within the corporate sector. I’m now in my 7th year at Outward Bound Australia.

What led you to Outward Bound Australia?

Destiny. The planets aligned and I jumped on board.

What is your most memorable experience at Outward Bound?

There have been too many to narrow it down to just one.

Do you have a favourite book, article, movie, quote or saying that you would like share?

My favourite book at the moment is “Three Cups of Tea” by Greg Mortenson.

My favourite quote at the moment is from Spencer Johnson: “Avoid believing things are better than they really are when you are on a peak, or worse than they really are when you are in a valley.”

How is Outward Bound different from other workplaces you’ve experienced?

The enormous sense of teamwork, harmony and community.  People are connected here to the mission and to each other.

What would you say to someone considering a career at Outward Bound?

Outward Bound provides a great foundation for life.  Go for it.

What adventure would you still like to achieve?

Too many to mention but generally, exploring beautiful places with people I care about.
