The Internship program is an intensive 8-month program designed to provide all the necessary skills training, experience and qualifications to become an Outdoor Education Instructor. The program is a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation, delivered by Outward Bound, who is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The Internship is an Outdoor Experiential Educator training program that aims to develop technical and facilitation skills for outdoor leaders. Methods of training include experience-based training and competency based assessment. It is an eight month residential program designed to train individuals as Group Instructors and Field Logistics personnel in the field of personal development, using the outdoors as a medium, and experiential education as the method.
