The 4th July 2008 marks the arrival of our newest additions to the Outward Bound family- the Kilo Internship group! This dynamic group of eleven young and enthusiastic Outward Bound instructors-in-training are looking forward to setting out on our most intense Outward Bound program of all.
Outward Bound offers exhilarating personal development courses that take people into new territories, giving them the opportunity to test themselves, inspire each other and come back with a new outlook on life and the world.
Outward Bound is firmly established at the forefront of personal development and experiential outdoor education. Since 1956, more than 250,000 people have participated in one of our programs! Being part of the international Outward Bound community means we have close ties with the many Outward Bound schools operating around the world.
Our desire is to assist you in your journey of self-discovery. We offer our programs as tools to help you develop your potential and achieve greatness in your life. The more we understand ourselves, the more we can be of service. Join us, and discover that there is more in you than you think.
We have traditionally run our Internship Program at our National Base in Tharwa, ACT, however in February 2009 we will be delivering the Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation program in Western Australia for the first time. The course will be a combination of solid technical training, soft skills such as facilitation through to extensive work experience opportunities.
We have Scholarships available to successful West Australian applicants.
