At Outward Bound Australia we believe that by working with others we can achieve more than we could alone. In pursuing our community development purpose, we engage in a range of partnerships and alliances that allow us to achieve greater social impact by working in collaboration with others. We partner with other educational organisations, corporate partners, funding partners and individuals. Our approach to partnering is summarised in the following steps:

1. Values Alignment – the first step is to ensure prospective partners have aligned values. We must ensure OB aligns itself with organisations and affiliates that have a similarly strong values base.
2. Value Proposition - Secondly we look at the value proposition, that is by working together we can complement each other's core skills, competencies and networks to benefit both parties.
3. Tangible Benefit – finally we must ensure accountability and results in the partnerships that benefit both parties.
