Outward Bound is committed to building stronger communities around Australia. We work with communities to build their capacity and by delivering inspiring personal development programs for their young people. This section of the website is devoted to sharing stories about some of the important community development work that Outward Bound is engaged in.

National Summit '09 Rabobank Young Rural Leaders Summit National Summit '08 Partners At Outward Bound Australia we believe that by working with others we can achieve more than we could alone. In pursuing our community development purpose, we engage in a range of partnerships and alliances that allow us to achieve greater social impact by working in collaboration with others. Australian Lions Clubs Aspiring Leaders Outward Bound's Aspiring Leaders Program is one of its fastest growing and most successful programs. This program is being delivered around the country for local communities such as the Hunter Region and on a national scale. The National Aspiring Leaders Summit was launched in 2007 and has already garnered strong support from corporate Australia and other social sector organisations. Programs Outward Bound is about building stronger communities by inspiring the new generation. Outward Bound's Regional Partnerships Programs are an initiative designed to foster growth in communities of regional Australia, and allows not only the youth of the area but the whole community to benefit from an Outward Bound program. This page provides background, stories and information on how to establish one of these programs. Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts

Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts (SMSA) is a member-based association that was founded in 1833 for the intellectual improvement of its members and the cultivation of literature, science and art. It is the oldest school of Arts in Australia and is a Centre for Social Change that aims to make a difference through learning.

SMSA has provided ongoing support to Outward Bound Australia through the donation of our Sydney office, providing scholarship positions for our Navigator courses and sponsoring our Sydney Information Night in May 2008.
