We have traditionally run our Internship Program at our National Base in Tharwa, ACT, however in February 2009 we will be delivering the Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation program in Western Australia for the first time. The course will be a combination of solid technical training, soft skills such as facilitation through to extensive work experience opportunities. We have Scholarships available to successful West Australian applicants. |

Traditionally, seasonal or casual staff utilised during our peak seasons have been solely ex-Outward Bound Australia instructors. We are now changing in our approach to seasonal and casual staffing, looking to employ staff from the Outdoor Education field in general. We are seeking staff who have some degree of outdoor education experience, and are looking to build their level of experience further. |

As a Registered Training Organisation, Outward Bound has the scope to deliver the Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation as part of our Instructor training program (Internship). This program is designed not only to provide participants with nationally recognised qualifications, but also the experience to become valued members of our operational team, and the Outdoor Industry as a whole.
