Outward Bound instructor Michael Peoples was nomintaed by the Registered Training Organisation for the ACT Australian Apprentice (Trainee of the Year). The 2008 ACT Training Excellence Awards are the premier event in the Vocational Education and Training calender and an opportunity to identify, promote and reward individuals and organisations that excel in Vocational Education and training in the ACT.

A 14-day epic journey through one of Australia's beautiful National Parks that will continually challenge you as you explore spectacular new places. Everyday is a new adventure, not quite knowing what's around the corner. You'll find yourself emerging from the course with a new perspective, new friends and ready to take on the world! THE AREA
The magnificent Australian Alps form the backdrop for the ACT based course. A network of picturesque mountains, rivers and streams, provides an amazing location for your experience.
As the Outward Bound National Base is situated here, we are able to offer participants in this area a unique Outward Bound experience. With one of the largest rope courses in the southern hemisphere and access to many activity sites year round, courses in this area are always varied and exciting!
Activities in this area may include: Abseil and rockclimb in some of the regions most beautiful sites. A variety of water activities in the Murrumbidgee River (according to water levels) Playing on our magnificent ropes course
During the warmer months it is a perfect place to experience the stunning valleys and mountains. See beautiful and rare flora and fauna unique to this area. In the cooler months, enjoy our winterwonderland when the mornings are glazed with ice and the winter sun warms our days.
As a Registered Training Organisation, Outward Bound has the scope to deliver the Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation as part of our Instructor training program (Internship). This program is designed not only to provide participants with nationally recognised qualifications, but also the experience to become valued members of our operational team, and the Outdoor Industry as a whole.
