The Australian Outward Bound Development Fund
The Australian Outward Bound Development Fund (AOBDF) was established in 1999. It is a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) as well as being endorsed as an Income Tax Exempt Charity (ITEC) and a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).
The AOBDF is generously supported by individuals, trusts, and organisations and supports programs and projects of Outward Bound Australia including Regional Partnerships and Community Partnerships, Individual Scholarships and Staff Scholarships. Such partnerships and scholarships have allowed over 2000 young people since 1999 to have an otherwise unafordable or unattainable Outward Bound Outdoor Education and adventure style personal development experience.
Financial assistance is granted on the understanding that the applicant makes a contribution in an amount he or she can afford. This will either constitute part of the course fee or be channeled directly to the AOBDF as a (nonrefundable) donation, establishing a commitment to attend and introducing the recipient to the "circle of giving", by assisting another in similar need.
The Australian Outward Bound Development Fund (AOBDF) has been established to enable people to participate in an Outward Bound program, who through some form of social or financial disadvantage, would be unable to do so without financial support. The Australian Outward Bound Development Fund is pleased to offer a variety of scholarships below to support individuals and communities who require financial support to attend an Outward Bound. We have access to funds to financially assist individuals, schools and communities, which are able to demonstrate a genuine need.

When you donate to Outward Bound, you give the opportunity for disadvantaged young Australians of limited means to participate in an Outward Bound program. By helping to provide life changing programs you are a partner in building stronger communities and inspiring the next generation.
