Coal and Allied Development Fund
The Coal and Allied Community Development Fund was established in 1999 to support Hunter Valley communities, strengthening their ability to tackle development challenges and make the most of emerging opportunities. The Development Fund has enabled almost 1,000 young people from the Hunter Region to participate in the Outward Bound youth Challenge since 2002. The Development Fund hopes to bring positive effects to the region where Coal and Allied opperate, by fostering behavioural and social community changes in young people. It is just one of the ways that Coal and Allied and its associated company, Rio Tinto give back to the Hunter Community.
