Outward Bound Australia has been successful at the inaugural West Australian Outdoor Recreation Industry Awards held in Perth on April 20th.  We were awarded Best Expedition into the Outdoors by a Group for our Navigator Program.

The Navigator program aims to provide young people aged 15-18 the opportunity discover, develop and achieve their potential as they transition into adulthood. By stepping into the Australian wilderness for 12 days, without the distractions of their everyday lives, participants can take a closer look at who they really are and who they want to be. With ample opportunities to practice leadership skills, participants develop strategies and behaviours to support them through challenges ahead.

Navigator WA takes place on the state's stunning South West coast in the Walpole-Nornulup and D’entrecasteaux National Parks. These areas feature a multitude of varying ecosystems and natural beauty. Participants experience Karri forests, wildflowers, the Frankland and Deep Rivers, the Walpole and Nornalup inlets Marine Park and of course the awesome Southern Ocean.
